I'm not sure about you but our weekends are truly wiping me out. It is mid-February and we are finally realizing that we have put Keira into too many activities during the weekends. To be honest, they are sports that Keira wanted to be in but as parents, we should have known how much time and energy all of them would take. By the time Sunday evening rolls around, we're too tired to cook, clean or even take care of things like, oh, I don't know.. bills & paperwork.
Because Keira and her friends all have some kind of sports courses/classes during the weekend, it's hard to get together for a proper playdate (apart from her BFF coming over for sleepovers). So I thought it would be a good idea for a late afternoon playdate going sledding outside and then a movie and dinner at our place.
Right now, the snow is beginning to melt away and patches of grass can be seen but it was cold enough on Saturday that even with that, the girls had a great time sliding down. There were some crazy crashes and tears and even a bit of blood but they still had a good time. I think just being outside helps with the winter blues and blahs. Especially at this point of winter.
Keira is a backwards & tummy glider (little miss kamikaze!).. What about your kids?
