Lunch break! For some reason, after kids eat they lose all shyness. Full bellies mean happy kids I guess.
This weekend, Kiki and I headed over to Shoot Studio for a fashion photo shoot. I am working once again with the creatives and lovelies at Missie Sunshine Couture art directing the shoot and designing creative collateral (coming soon!). Kiki happens to be one of Missie's models. Missie Sunshine has been hard at work on their new SS13 collection (check out their Facebook page to see some more sneak peeks) and upon seeing the collection up close and personal, I can honestly say that every single piece is gorgeous. All fabrics and detailing come from India while the design and creative process is done here, in Montréal by the talented designer, Christina Lee. I'm also happy to report that Christina has a new partner on board, Heidi Massa who will head up their Marketing & Sales dept. Heidi is an incredibly positive & upbeat person, the perfect addition! I love her energy.
I was also looking forward to working with Sandrine Castellan, amazing photographer extraordinaire! I love her style, her eye for detail and how amazing she is to work with. She's also not shy around children, getting them to come out of their shell in front of the camera and be firm and patient at the same time. She's incredible! If you're wondering where you've heard her name & seen her work before, she's a regular contributor to the fantastic Babiekins Magazine. She is also the photographer behind some amazing fashion shoots & big name fashion houses.
Miss Mona getting her hair & make-up done by Laurie Desraps We also got to meet a wonderful makeup artist named Laurie Desraps. She did the girls' hair & makeup for this shoot and we think she did an incredible job! The girls looked fantastic. Isn't Laurie the bomb? She reminded me of Andie in Pretty in Pink (one of my all-time favorite movie!). I love her bright personality and style. You can read her blog here and check out this interview at À la Mode Montréal (sorry, the interview is in french only). Ooh, Kiki liked her too!
The shoot was fun, relaxed atmosphere and I think the end results will knock your socks off. Stay tuned for more to come!
